Hello all, I moved up to these parts a year ago, before that I was living all over the place. So far, Bellingham has been the only city where I thought I would be able to stay long enough to go to school. I love the combination of the nearby mountains and the ocean, my two favorite things. When the weather is nice in the summer, I’m usually sailing and riding my road bike with friends, or out in the mountains hiking. In the winter, I catch up on a lot of reading and spend as much time and money as I can skiing, the latter usually being the first one that runs out. Although reading is probably my biggest pastime, I generally avoid writing. I'm hopeful that will change with practice.
This is the first English class I've taken in approximately 7 years, and I only had to write one or two unformatted papers for my classes last quarter. So, I have virtually no experience writing school/thesis papers. A couple times in the past when I was travelling abroad, I kept a travelogue of sorts. That's about it, really.
