A Vision of Students Today Video

The video “A vision of students today”, by Michael Wesch provides information about the issues that have become relevant to our present students. The video touches on problems from the effect of technology (whether it be positive or negative), cost of education, to the relevance of what is being taught. It goes on to point out that even though we have ideas and matter we want to sort out, “we are one of the lucky ones”. There are people out there that would give anything to be educated, but maybe don’t have the money or opportunity. Yet those who do go to school can get so uninspired and loose interest because the information isn’t always relevant to us and our world. We have had many changes in our society, and that will continue; should education change? Sitting and listening can only prepare you for so much in the future. Education doesn’t have to be as black and white as it can be made out to be, we have a say.
