against school

For the complaint, group 5 said that the author was reacting against the incorrect commonplace defense that mass/compulsory education serves to produce 1)good people, 2)good citizens, and 3)people that have fully realized their potential. In reality, the education system serves the system before it serves the student, therefore, its aim has little bearing on the needs of the student, it functions to produce a homogenous blob of unthinking employees/consumers that will respond reflexively and predictably to authority.
